3:75:1waminAnd from
3:75:2ʾahlⁱ(the) People
3:75:3ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book
3:75:4man(is he) who,
3:75:6taʾmanhᵘyou entrust him
3:75:7biqinṭārⁱⁿwith a great amount of wealth
3:75:8yuʾaddihihe will return it
3:75:9ʾilaykᵃto you.
3:75:10waminhumAnd from them
3:75:11mman(is he) who,
3:75:13taʾmanhᵘyou entrust him
3:75:14bidīnārⁱⁿwith a single coin
3:75:16yuʾaddihihe will return it
3:75:17ʾilaykᵃto you
3:75:18ʾillāexcept
3:75:20dumtᵃyou keep constantly
3:75:21ʕalayhⁱover him
3:75:22qāʾimaⁿstanding.
3:75:23ðālikᵃThat
3:75:24biʾannahum(is) because they
3:75:28concerning
3:75:29ₐlʾummiyyinᵃthe unlettered people
3:75:30sabīlᵘⁿany [way] (accountability)."
3:75:31wayaqūlūnᵃAnd they say
3:75:33ₐllahⁱAllah
3:75:34ₐlkaðibᵃthe lie
3:75:35wahumwhile they
۝٧٥
And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].
3:76:2manwhoever
3:76:3ʾawfāfulfills
3:76:4biʕahdihihis covenant
3:76:5waᵢttaqāand fears (Allah),
3:76:6faʾinnᵃthen indeed,
3:76:7ₐllahᵃAllah
3:76:8yuḥibbᵘloves
3:76:9ₐlmuttaqīnᵃthose who fear (Him).
۝٧٦
But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.
3:77:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:77:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:77:3yaštarūnᵃexchange
3:77:4biʕahdⁱ(the) Covenant
3:77:5ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:77:6waʾaymānihimand their oaths
3:77:7θamanaⁿ(for) a price
3:77:8qalīlaⁿlittle,
3:77:9ʾulāʾikᵃthose -
3:77:11ḫalāqᵃshare
3:77:12lahumfor them
3:77:14ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱthe Hereafter
3:77:15walāand not
3:77:16yukallimuhumᵘwill speak to them
3:77:17ₐllahᵘAllah,
3:77:18walāand not
3:77:19yanẓurᵘlook
3:77:21yawmᵃ(on the) Day
3:77:22ₐlqiyāmaẗⁱ(of) the Resurrection
3:77:23walāand not
3:77:24yuzakkīhimpurify them,
3:77:25walahumand for them
3:77:26ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
3:77:27ʾalīmᵘⁿpainful.
۝٧٧
Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.
3:78:1waʾinnᵃAnd indeed,
3:78:2minhumamong them
3:78:3lafarīqaⁿsurely (is) a group -
3:78:4yalwunᵃthey distort
3:78:5ʾalsinatahumtheir tongues
3:78:6biₐlkitābⁱin (reciting) the Book
3:78:7litaḥsabūhᵘso that you may think it
3:78:8minᵃ(is) from
3:78:9ₐlkitābⁱthe Book
3:78:10wamāand not
3:78:12minᵃ(is) from
3:78:13ₐlkitābⁱthe Book.
3:78:14wayaqūlūnᵃAnd they say,
3:78:17ʕindⁱfrom
3:78:18ₐllahⁱAllah."
3:78:19wamāBut not
3:78:22ʕindⁱfrom
3:78:23ₐllahⁱAllah.
3:78:24wayaqūlūnᵃAnd they say
3:78:26ₐllahⁱAllah
3:78:27ₐlkaðibᵃthe lie
3:78:28wahumwhile they
۝٧٨
And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. And they speak untruth about Allah while they know.
3:79:3libašarⁱⁿfor a human
3:79:4ʾanthat
3:79:5yuʾtiyahᵘgives him
3:79:6ₐllahᵘAllah
3:79:7ₐlkitābᵃthe Book,
3:79:8waₐlḥukmᵃand the wisdom,
3:79:9waₐlnnubuwwaẗᵃand the Prophethood,
3:79:10θummᵃthen
3:79:11yaqūlᵃhe says
3:79:12lilnnāsⁱto the people,
3:79:14ʕibādaⁿworshippers
3:79:17dūnⁱbesides
3:79:18ₐllahⁱAllah,
3:79:19walākinbut (would say)
3:79:21rabbāniyyinᵃworshippers of the Lord
3:79:22bimābecause
3:79:23kuntumyou have been
3:79:24tuʕallimūnᵃteaching
3:79:25ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
3:79:26wabimāand because
3:79:27kuntumyou have been
3:79:28tadrusūnᵃstudying (it)."
۝٧٩
It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."
3:80:1walāAnd not
3:80:2yaʾmurakumhe will order you
3:80:3ʾanthat
3:80:4tattaḫiðūyou take
3:80:5ₐlmalāʾikaẗᵃthe Angels,
3:80:6waₐlnnabiyyinᵃand the Prophets
3:80:7ʾarbābaⁿ(as) lords.
3:80:8ʾayaʾmurukumWould he order you
3:80:9biₐlkufrⁱto [the] disbelief
3:80:10baʕdᵃafter
3:80:11ʾið[when]
3:80:12ʾantumyou (have become)
3:80:13mmuslimūnᵃMuslims?
۝٨٠
Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as lords. Would he order you to disbelief after you had been Muslims?
3:81:1waʾiðAnd when
3:81:2ʾaḫaðᵃtook
3:81:3ₐllahᵘAllah
3:81:4mīθāqᵃcovenant
3:81:5ₐlnnabiyyinᵃ(of) the Prophets,
3:81:6lamā"Certainly, whatever
3:81:7ʾātaytukumI (have) given you
3:81:9kitābⁱⁿ(the) Book
3:81:10waḥikmaẗⁱⁿand wisdom
3:81:11θummᵃthen
3:81:12jāʾakumcomes to you
3:81:13rasūlᵘⁿa Messenger
3:81:14mmuṣaddiqᵘⁿconfirming
3:81:15llimāthat which
3:81:16maʕakum(is) with you,
3:81:17latuʾminunnᵃyou must believe
3:81:19walatanṣurunnahuand you must help him."
3:81:20qālᵃHe said,
3:81:21ʾaʾaqrartum"Do you affirm
3:81:22waʾaḫaðtumand take
3:81:24ðālikumthat (condition)
3:81:25ʾiṣrīMy Covenant?"
3:81:27ʾaqrarnā"We affirm."
3:81:28qālᵃHe said,
3:81:29faᵢšhadū"Then bear witness,
3:81:30waʾanāand I (am)
3:81:31maʕakumwith you
3:81:32mminᵃamong
3:81:33ₐlššāhidīnᵃthe witnesses."
۝٨١
And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."
3:82:1famanThen whoever
3:82:2tawallāturns away
3:82:3baʕdᵃafter
3:82:4ðālikᵃthat,
3:82:5faʾulāʾikᵃthen those
3:82:6humᵘthey
3:82:7ₐlfāsiqūnᵃ(are) the defiantly disobedient.
۝٨٢
And whoever turned away after that - they were the defiantly disobedient.
3:83:1ʾafaġayrᵃSo is (it) other than
3:83:2dīnⁱ(the) religion
3:83:3ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:83:4yabġūnᵃthey seek?
3:83:5walahuWhile to Him
3:83:6ʾaslamᵃ(have) submitted
3:83:7manwhatever
3:83:8(is) in
3:83:9ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
3:83:10waₐlʾarḍⁱand the earth,
3:83:11ṭawʕaⁿwillingly
3:83:12wakarhaⁿor unwillingly,
3:83:13waʾilayhⁱand towards Him
3:83:14yurjaʕūnᵃthey will be returned.
۝٨٣
So is it other than the religion of Allah they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned?
3:84:2ʾāmannā"We believed
3:84:3biₐllahⁱin Allah
3:84:4wamāand what
3:84:5ʾunzilᵃ(is) revealed
3:84:7wamāand what
3:84:8ʾunzilᵃwas revealed
3:84:10ʾibrāhīmᵃIbrahim,
3:84:11waʾismāʕīlᵃand Ishmael,
3:84:12waʾisḥāqᵃand Isaac,
3:84:13wayaʕqūbᵃand Yaqub,
3:84:14waₐlʾasbāṭⁱand the descendents
3:84:15wamāand what
3:84:16ʾūtīᵃwas given
3:84:17mūsā(to) Musa,
3:84:18waʕīsāand Isa,
3:84:19waₐlnnabiyyūnᵃand the Prophets
3:84:21rrabbihimtheir Lord.
3:84:23nufarriqᵘwe make distinction
3:84:24baynᵃbetween
3:84:25ʾaḥadⁱⁿany
3:84:27wanaḥnᵘand we
3:84:29muslimūnᵃ(are) submissive.
۝٨٤
Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him."
3:85:1wamanAnd whoever
3:85:2yabtaġⁱseeks
3:85:3ġayrᵃother than
3:85:4ₐlʾislāmⁱ[the] Islam
3:85:5dīnaⁿ(as) religion
3:85:6falanthen never
3:85:7yuqbalᵃwill be accepted
3:85:8minhᵘfrom him,
3:85:9wahuwᵃand he
3:85:11ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱthe Hereafter,
3:85:12minᵃ(will be) from
3:85:13ₐlḫāsirīnᵃthe losers.
۝٨٥
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
3:86:2yahdī(shall) guide
3:86:3ₐllahᵘAllah
3:86:4qawmaⁿa people
3:86:5kafarū(who) disbelieved
3:86:6baʕdᵃafter
3:86:7ʾīmānihimtheir belief
3:86:8wašahidūand (had) witnessed
3:86:9ʾannᵃthat
3:86:10ₐlrrasūlᵃthe Messenger
3:86:11ḥaqqᵘⁿ(is) true,
3:86:12wajāʾahumᵘand came to them
3:86:13ₐlbayyinātᵘthe clear proofs?
3:86:14waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:86:15(does) not
3:86:17ₐlqawmᵃthe people
3:86:18ₐlẓẓālimīnᵃ[the] wrongdoers.
۝٨٦
How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs had come to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
3:87:1ʾulāʾikᵃThose -
3:87:2jazāʾuhumtheir recompense,
3:87:3ʾannᵃthat
3:87:5laʕnaẗᵃ(is the) curse
3:87:6ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:87:7waₐlmalāʾikaẗⁱand the Angels
3:87:8waₐlnnāsⁱand the people
3:87:9ʾajmaʕīnᵃall together.
۝٨٧
Those - their recompense will be that upon them is the curse of Allah and the angels and the people, all together,
3:88:1ḫālidīnᵃ(They will) abide forever
3:88:2fīhāin it.
3:88:4yuḫaffafᵘwill be lightened
3:88:5ʕanhumᵘfor them
3:88:6ₐlʕaðābᵘthe punishment
3:88:7walāand not
3:88:9yunẓarūnᵃwill be reprieved.
۝٨٨
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.
3:89:1ʾillāExcept
3:89:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:89:4minᵐfrom
3:89:5baʕdⁱafter
3:89:6ðālikᵃthat,
3:89:7waʾaṣlaḥūand reform[ed] themselves.
3:89:8faʾinnᵃThen indeed,
3:89:9ₐllahᵃAllah
3:89:10ġafūrᵘⁿ(is) Oft-Forgiving,
3:89:11rraḥīmᵘⁿMost Merciful.
۝٨٩
Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
3:90:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:90:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:90:3kafarūdisbelieved
3:90:4baʕdᵃafter
3:90:5ʾīmānihimtheir belief
3:90:6θummᵃthen
3:90:7ᵢzdādūthey increased
3:90:8kufraⁿ(in) disbelief
3:90:10tuqbalᵃwill be accepted
3:90:11tawbatuhumtheir repentance,
3:90:12waʾulāʾikᵃand those -
3:90:13humᵘthey
3:90:14ₐlḍḍāllūnᵃ(are) those who have gone astray.
۝٩٠
Indeed, those who reject the message after their belief and then increase in disbelief - never will their [claimed] repentance be accepted, and they are the ones astray.
3:91:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:91:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:91:3kafarūdisbelieve[d]
3:91:5wahumwhile they
3:91:6kuffārᵘⁿ(are) disbelievers,
3:91:7falanthen never
3:91:8yuqbalᵃwill be accepted
3:91:10ʾaḥadihimany one of them
3:91:12ₐlʾarḍⁱearth
3:91:13ðahabaⁿ(of) gold
3:91:14walawⁱ[and] (even) if
3:91:15ᵢftadāhe offered as ransom
3:91:18lahumfor them
3:91:19ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
3:91:20ʾalīmᵘⁿpainful
3:91:21wamāand not
3:91:22lahum(will be) for them
3:91:24nnāṣirīnᵃhelpers.
۝٩١
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - never would the [whole] capacity of the earth in gold be accepted from one of them if he would [seek to] ransom himself with it. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
3:92:1lanNever
3:92:2tanālūwill you attain
3:92:3ₐlbirrᵃ[the] righteousness
3:92:6mimmāfrom what
3:92:7tuḥibbūnᵃyou love.
3:92:8wamāAnd whatever
3:92:11šayʾⁱⁿa thing
3:92:12faʾinnᵃthen indeed,
3:92:13ₐllahᵃAllah
3:92:15ʕalīmᵘⁿ(is) All-Knowing.
۝٩٢
Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.
