3:93:2ₐlṭṭaʕāmⁱ[the] food
3:93:4ḥillaⁿlawful
3:93:5llibanīfor (the) Children
3:93:6ʾisrāʾīlᵃ(of) Israel
3:93:7ʾillāexcept
3:93:9ḥarramᵃmade unlawful
3:93:14qablⁱbefore
3:93:15ʾan[that]
3:93:16tunazzalᵃ(was) revealed
3:93:17ₐlttawrāẗᵘthe Taurat.
3:93:20biₐlttawrāẗⁱthe Taurat
3:93:21faᵤtlūhāand recite it
3:93:24ṣādiqīnᵃtruthful."
۝٩٣
All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel had made unlawful to himself before the Torah was revealed. Say, [O Muhammad], "So bring the Torah and recite it, if you should be truthful."
3:94:1famanⁱThen whoever
3:94:2ᵢftarāfabricates
3:94:3ʕalāabout
3:94:4ₐllahⁱAllah
3:94:5ₐlkaðibᵃ[the] lie
3:94:6minᵐfrom
3:94:7baʕdⁱafter
3:94:8ðālikᵃthat,
3:94:9faʾulāʾikᵃthen those -
3:94:10humᵘthey
3:94:11ₐlẓẓālimūnᵃ(are) the wrongdoers.
۝٩٤
And whoever invents about Allah untruth after that - then those are [truly] the wrongdoers.
3:95:2ṣadaqᵃ(has) spoken the truth
3:95:3ₐllahᵘAllah,
3:95:4faᵢttabiʕūthen follow
3:95:5millaẗᵃ(the) religion
3:95:6ʾibrāhīmᵃ(of) Ibrahim
3:95:7ḥanīfaⁿ(the) upright,
3:95:8wamāand not
3:95:9kānᵃhe was
3:95:11ₐlmušrikīnᵃthe polytheists.
۝٩٥
Say, "Allah has told the truth. So follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of the polytheists."
3:96:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:96:2ʾawwalᵃ(the) First
3:96:3baytⁱⁿHouse
3:96:4wuḍiʕᵃset up
3:96:5lilnnāsⁱfor the mankind
3:96:6lallaðī(is) the one which
3:96:7bibakkaẗᵃ(is) at Bakkah,
3:96:8mubārakaⁿblessed
3:96:9wahudaⁿand a guidance
3:96:10llilʕālamīnᵃfor the worlds.
۝٩٦
Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Makkah - blessed and a guidance for the worlds.
3:97:1fīhⁱIn it
3:97:2ʾāyātᵘⁿᵐ(are) signs
3:97:3bayyinātᵘⁿclear,
3:97:4mmaqāmᵘstanding place
3:97:5ʾibrāhīmᵃ(of) Ibrahim,
3:97:6wamanand whoever
3:97:7daḫalahuenters it -
3:97:9ʾāminaⁿsafe.
3:97:10walillahⁱAnd (due) to Allah
3:97:12ₐlnnāsⁱthe mankind
3:97:13ḥijjᵘ(is) pilgrimage
3:97:14ₐlbaytⁱ(of) the House
3:97:15manⁱ(for one) who
3:97:16ᵢstaṭāʕᵃis able
3:97:17ʾilayhⁱto [it]
3:97:18sabīlaⁿ(find) a way.
3:97:19wamanAnd whoever
3:97:20kafarᵃdisbelieved
3:97:21faʾinnᵃthen indeed,
3:97:22ₐllahᵃAllah
3:97:23ġanīīᵘⁿ(is) free from need
3:97:25ₐlʕālamīnᵃthe universe.
۝٩٧
In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.
3:98:2yāʾahlᵃ"O People
3:98:3ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book!
3:98:5takfurūnᵃ(do) you disbelieve
3:98:6biʾāyātⁱin (the) Verses
3:98:7ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
3:98:8waₐllahᵘwhile Allah
3:98:9šahīdᵘⁿ(is) a Witness
3:98:12taʕmalūnᵃyou do?"
۝٩٨
Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while Allah is Witness over what you do?"
3:99:2yāʾahlᵃ"O People
3:99:3ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book!
3:99:5taṣuddūnᵃ(do) you hinder
3:99:6ʕanfrom
3:99:7sabīlⁱ(the) way
3:99:8ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:99:9man(those) who
3:99:10ʾāmanᵃbelieve[d],
3:99:11tabġūnahāseeking (to make) it
3:99:12ʕiwajaⁿ(seem) crooked
3:99:13waʾantumwhile you
3:99:14šuhadāʾᵘ(are) witnesses?
3:99:15wamāAnd not
3:99:16ₐllahᵘAllah
3:99:17biġāfilⁱⁿ(is) unaware
3:99:18ʕammāof what
3:99:19taʕmalūnᵃyou do.
۝٩٩
Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert from the way of Allah those who believe, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]? And Allah is not unaware of what you do."
3:100:2ₐllaðīnᵃwho
3:100:3ʾāmanūbelieve[d]!
3:100:5tuṭīʕūyou obey
3:100:6farīqaⁿa group
3:100:8ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:100:9ʾūtūwere given
3:100:10ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
3:100:11yaruddūkumthey will turn you back
3:100:13ʾīmānikumyour belief
3:100:14kāfirīnᵃ(as) disbelievers.
۝١٠٠
O you who have believed, if you obey a party of those who were given the Scripture, they would turn you back, after your belief, [to being] unbelievers.
3:101:1wakayfᵃAnd how (could)
3:101:2takfurūnᵃyou disbelieve
3:101:3waʾantumwhile [you]
3:101:4tutlāis recited
3:101:6ʾāyātᵘ(the) Verses
3:101:7ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:101:8wafīkumand among you
3:101:9rasūluhu(is) His Messenger?
3:101:10wamanAnd whoever
3:101:11yaʕtaṣimholds firmly
3:101:12biₐllahⁱto Allah,
3:101:13faqadthen surely
3:101:14hudīᵃhe is guided
3:101:16ṣirāṭⁱⁿa path
3:101:17mmustaqīmⁱⁿstraight.
۝١٠١
And how could you disbelieve while to you are being recited the verses of Allah and among you is His Messenger? And whoever holds firmly to Allah has [indeed] been guided to a straight path.
3:102:2ₐllaðīnᵃwho
3:102:3ʾāmanūbelieve[d]!
3:102:5ₐllahᵃAllah
3:102:6ḥaqqᵃ(as is His) right
3:102:7tuqātihi(that) He (should) be feared
3:102:8walāand (do) not
3:102:11waʾantum[while you]
3:102:12mmuslimūnᵃ(as) Muslims.
۝١٠٢
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
3:103:1waᵢʕtaṣimūAnd hold firmly
3:103:2biḥablⁱto (the) rope
3:103:3ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:103:4jamīʕaⁿall together
3:103:5walāand (do) not
3:103:6tafarraqūbe divided.
3:103:7waᵤðkurūAnd remember
3:103:8niʕmatᵃ(the) Favor
3:103:9ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:103:13ʾaʕdāʾᵃⁿenemies
3:103:14faʾallafᵃthen He made friendship
3:103:15baynᵃbetween
3:103:16qulūbikumyour hearts
3:103:17faʾaṣbaḥtumthen you became
3:103:18biniʕmatihiby His Favor
3:103:19ʾiḫwānaⁿbrothers.
3:103:20wakuntumAnd you were
3:103:22šafā(the) brink
3:103:23ḥufraẗⁱⁿ(of) pit
3:103:25ₐlnnārⁱthe Fire
3:103:26faʾanqaðakumthen He saved you
3:103:29yubayyinᵘmakes clear
3:103:30ₐllahᵘAllah
3:103:32ʾāyātihiHis Verses
3:103:33laʕallakumso that you may
3:103:34tahtadūnᵃ(be) guided.
۝١٠٣
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.
3:104:1waltakunAnd let there be
3:104:2mminkumamong you
3:104:3ʾummaẗᵘⁿ[a] people
3:104:4yadʕūnᵃinviting
3:104:6ₐlḫayrⁱthe good
3:104:7wayaʾmurūnᵃ[and] enjoining
3:104:8biₐlmaʕrūfⁱthe right,
3:104:9wayanhawnᵃand forbidding
3:104:10ʕanⁱfrom
3:104:11ₐlmunkarⁱthe wrong,
3:104:12waʾulāʾikᵃand those -
3:104:14ₐlmufliḥūnᵃ(are) the successful ones.
۝١٠٤
And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.
3:105:1walāAnd (do) not
3:105:3kaₐllaðīnᵃlike those who
3:105:4tafarraqūbecame divided
3:105:5waᵢḫtalafūand differed
3:105:6minᵐfrom
3:105:7baʕdⁱafter
3:105:9jāʾahumᵘcame to them -
3:105:10ₐlbayyinātᵘthe clear proofs.
3:105:11waʾulāʾikᵃAnd those
3:105:13ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
3:105:14ʕaẓīmᵘⁿgreat.
۝١٠٥
And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment.
3:106:1yawmᵃ(On the) Day
3:106:2tabyaḍḍᵘwould become white
3:106:3wujūhᵘⁿ(some) faces
3:106:4wataswaddᵘand would become black
3:106:5wujūhᵘⁿ(some) faces.
3:106:7ₐllaðīnᵃthose whose
3:106:8ᵢswaddatturn black
3:106:9wujūhuhum[their] faces -
3:106:10ʾakafartum"Did you disbelieve
3:106:12ʾīmānikumyour belief?
3:106:13faðūqūThen taste
3:106:14ₐlʕaðābᵃthe punishment
3:106:15bimāfor what
3:106:16kuntumyou used to
3:106:17takfurūnᵃdisbelieve."
۝١٠٦
On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."
3:107:1waʾammāBut as for
3:107:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose whose
3:107:3ᵢbyaḍḍatturn white
3:107:4wujūhuhum[their] faces
3:107:5fafīthen (they will be) in
3:107:6raḥmaẗⁱ(the) Mercy
3:107:7ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
3:107:10ḫālidūnᵃ(will) abide forever.
۝١٠٧
But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein eternally.
3:108:2ʾāyātᵘ(are the) Verses
3:108:3ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah.
3:108:4natlūhāWe recite them
3:108:5ʕalaykᵃto you
3:108:6biₐlḥaqqⁱin truth.
3:108:7wamāAnd not
3:108:8ₐllahᵘAllah
3:108:9yurīdᵘwants
3:108:10ẓulmaⁿinjustice
3:108:11llilʕālamīnᵃto the worlds.
۝١٠٨
These are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you, [O Muhammad], in truth; and Allah wants no injustice to the worlds.
3:109:1walillahⁱAnd to Allah (belongs)
3:109:2whatever
3:109:3(is) in
3:109:4ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
3:109:5wamāand whatever
3:109:6(is) in
3:109:7ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth.
3:109:8waʾilāAnd to
3:109:9ₐllahⁱAllah
3:109:10turjaʕᵘwill be returned
3:109:11ₐlʾumūrᵘthe matters.
۝١٠٩
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah will [all] matters be returned.
3:110:2ḫayrᵃ(the) best
3:110:3ʾummaẗⁱⁿ(of) people
3:110:5lilnnāsⁱfor the mankind -
3:110:6taʾmurūnᵃenjoining
3:110:7biₐlmaʕrūfⁱthe right
3:110:8watanhawnᵃand forbidding
3:110:9ʕanⁱ[from]
3:110:10ₐlmunkarⁱthe wrong
3:110:11watuʾminūnᵃand believing
3:110:12biₐllahⁱin Allah.
3:110:14ʾāmanᵃbelieved
3:110:15ʾahlᵘ(the) People
3:110:16ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book
3:110:17lakānᵃsurely would have been
3:110:19llahumfor them.
3:110:20mminhumᵘAmong them
3:110:21ₐlmuʾminūnᵃ(are) [the] believers,
3:110:22waʾakθaruhumᵘbut most of them
3:110:23ₐlfāsiqūnᵃ(are) defiantly disobedient.
۝١١٠
You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
3:111:2yaḍurrūkumwill they harm you
3:111:4ʾaðaⁿa hurt.
3:111:5waʾinAnd if
3:111:6yuqātilūkumthey fight you,
3:111:7yuwallūkumᵘthey will turn (towards) you
3:111:8ₐlʾadbārᵃthe backs,
3:111:9θummᵃthen
3:111:11yunṣarūnᵃthey will be helped.
۝١١١
They will not harm you except for [some] annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be aided.
3:112:2ʕalayhimᵘon them
3:112:3ₐlððillaẗᵘthe humiliation
3:112:4ʾaynᵃwherever
3:112:6θuqifūthey are found
3:112:7ʾillāexcept
3:112:8biḥablⁱⁿwith a rope
3:112:10ₐllahⁱAllah
3:112:11waḥablⁱⁿand a rope
3:112:13ₐlnnāsⁱthe people.
3:112:14wabāʾūAnd they incurred
3:112:15biġaḍabⁱⁿwrath
3:112:17ₐllahⁱAllah
3:112:18waḍuribatand struck
3:112:19ʕalayhimᵘon them
3:112:20ₐlmaskanaẗᵘthe poverty.
3:112:22biʾannahum(is) because
3:112:23kānūthey used to
3:112:24yakfurūnᵃdisbelieve
3:112:25biʾāyātⁱin (the) Verses
3:112:26ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:112:27wayaqtulūnᵃand they killed
3:112:28ₐlʾanᵐbiyāʾᵃthe Prophets
3:112:29biġayrⁱwithout
3:112:30ḥaqqⁱⁿright.
3:112:32bimā(is) because
3:112:33ʕaṣawthey disobeyed
3:112:34wwakānūand they used to
3:112:35yaʕtadūnᵃtransgress.
۝١١٢
They have been put under humiliation [by Allah] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.
