6:141:1wahuwᵃAnd He
6:141:2ₐllaðī(is) the One Who
6:141:3ʾanšaʾᵃproduced
6:141:4jannātⁱⁿgardens
6:141:5mmaʕrūšātⁱⁿtrellised
6:141:6waġayrᵃand other than
6:141:7maʕrūšātⁱⁿtrellised
6:141:8waₐlnnaḫlᵃand the date-palm
6:141:9waₐlzzarʕᵃand the crops,
6:141:10muḫtalifaⁿdiverse
6:141:11ʾukuluhu(are) its taste,
6:141:12waₐlzzaytūnᵃand the olives
6:141:13waₐlrrummānᵃand the pomegranates
6:141:14mutašābihaⁿsimilar
6:141:15waġayrᵃand other than
6:141:16mutašābihⁱⁿsimilar.
6:141:21ʾaθmarᵃit bears fruit,
6:141:23ḥaqqahuits due
6:141:24yawmᵃ(on the) day
6:141:25ḥaṣādihi(of) its harvest.
6:141:26walāAnd (do) not
6:141:27tusrifū(be) extravagant.
6:141:28ʾinnahuIndeed, He
6:141:29(does) not
6:141:30yuḥibbᵘlove
6:141:31ₐlmusrifīnᵃthe ones who are extravagant.
۝١٤١
And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.
6:142:1waminᵃAnd of
6:142:2ₐlʾanʕāmⁱthe cattle
6:142:3ḥamūlaẗᵃⁿ(are some for) burden
6:142:4wafaršaⁿand (some for) meat.
6:142:6mimmāof what
6:142:7razaqakumᵘ(has been) provided (to) you
6:142:8ₐllahᵘ(by) Allah,
6:142:9walāand (do) not
6:142:11ḫuṭuwātⁱ(the) footsteps
6:142:12ₐlššayṭānⁱ(of) Shaitaan.
6:142:13ʾinnahuIndeed, he
6:142:14lakum(is) to you
6:142:15ʕaduwwᵘⁿan enemy
6:142:16mmubīnᵘⁿopen.
۝١٤٢
And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
6:143:1θamāniyaẗᵃEight
6:143:2ʾazwājⁱⁿpairs -
6:143:4ₐlḍḍaʾnⁱthe sheep,
6:143:6waminᵃand of
6:143:7ₐlmaʕzⁱthe goats
6:143:10ʾālððakaraynⁱ"(Are) the two males
6:143:11ḥarramᵃHe has forbidden
6:143:13ₐlʾunθayaynⁱthe two females
6:143:14ʾammāor what
6:143:15ᵢštamalatcontains
6:143:16ʕalayhⁱ[in it]
6:143:17ʾarḥāmᵘ(the) wombs
6:143:18ₐlʾunθayaynⁱ(of) the two females?
6:143:20biʕilmⁱⁿwith knowledge,
6:143:23ṣādiqīnᵃtruthful."
۝١٤٣
[They are] eight mates - of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful."
6:144:1waminᵃAnd of
6:144:2ₐlʾibilⁱthe camels
6:144:4waminᵃand of
6:144:5ₐlbaqarⁱthe cows
6:144:8ʾālððakaraynⁱ"(Is it) the two males
6:144:9ḥarramᵃHe (has) forbidden
6:144:11ₐlʾunθayaynⁱthe two females
6:144:12ʾammāor what
6:144:13ᵢštamalatcontains
6:144:14ʕalayhⁱ[in it]
6:144:15ʾarḥāmᵘ(the) wombs
6:144:16ₐlʾunθayaynⁱ(of) the two females?
6:144:19šuhadāʾᵃwitnesses
6:144:21waṣṣākumᵘenjoined you
6:144:22ₐllahᵘAllah
6:144:23bihāðāwith this?
6:144:25ʾaẓlamᵘ(is) more unjust
6:144:26mimmanⁱthan (one) who
6:144:28ʕalāagainst
6:144:29ₐllahⁱAllah
6:144:30kaðibaⁿa lie
6:144:31lliyuḍillᵃto mislead
6:144:32ₐlnnāsᵃthe people
6:144:33biġayrⁱwithout
6:144:34ʕilmⁱⁿknowledge?
6:144:35ʾinnᵃIndeed,
6:144:36ₐllahᵃAllah
6:144:37(does) not
6:144:39ₐlqawmᵃthe people,
6:144:40ₐlẓẓālimīnᵃthe wrongdoing."
۝١٤٤
And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."
6:145:3ʾajidᵘ(do) I find
6:145:6ʾūḥīᵃhas been revealed
6:145:7ʾilayyᵃto me
6:145:8muḥarramaⁿ(anything) forbidden
6:145:10ṭāʕimⁱⁿan eater
6:145:11yaṭʕamuhuwho eats it
6:145:15maytaẗᵃⁿdead
6:145:17damaⁿblood
6:145:18mmasfūḥaⁿpoured forth
6:145:20laḥmᵃ(the) flesh
6:145:21ḫinzīrⁱⁿ(of) swine -
6:145:22faʾinnahufor indeed, it
6:145:23rijsᵘⁿ(is) filth -
6:145:25fisqaⁿ(it be) disobedience,
6:145:26ʾuhillᵃ[is] dedicated
6:145:27liġayrⁱto other than
6:145:28ₐllahⁱAllah
6:145:29bihi[on it].
6:145:30famanⁱBut whoever
6:145:31ᵢḍṭurrᵃ(is) compelled
6:145:33bāġⁱⁿdesiring
6:145:34walāand not
6:145:35ʕādⁱⁿtransgressing,
6:145:36faʾinnᵃthen indeed,
6:145:37rabbakᵃyour Lord
6:145:38ġafūrᵘⁿ(is) Oft-Forgiving,
6:145:39rraḥīmᵘⁿMost Merciful."
۝١٤٥
Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."
6:146:1waʕalāAnd to
6:146:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
6:146:4ḥarramnāWe forbade
6:146:5kullᵃevery
6:146:6ðī(animal) with
6:146:7ẓufurⁱⁿclaws,
6:146:8waminᵃand of
6:146:9ₐlbaqarⁱthe cows
6:146:10waₐlġanamⁱand the sheep
6:146:11ḥarramnāWe forbade
6:146:13šuḥūmahumātheir fat
6:146:16ḥamalatcarried
6:146:17ẓuhūruhumātheir backs
6:146:19ₐlḥawāyāthe entrails
6:146:22ᵢḫtalaṭᵃ(is) joined
6:146:23biʕaẓmⁱⁿwith the bone.
6:146:25jazaynāhum(is) their recompense
6:146:26bibaġyihimfor their rebellion.
6:146:27waʾinnāAnd indeed, We
6:146:28laṣādiqūnᵃ[surely] are truthful.
۝١٤٦
And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.
6:147:1faʾinBut if
6:147:2kaððabūkᵃthey deny you
6:147:3faqulthen say,
6:147:4rrabbukum"Your Lord
6:147:5ðū(is the) Possessor
6:147:6raḥmaẗⁱⁿ(of) Mercy
6:147:7wāsiʕaẗⁱⁿVast,
6:147:8walābut not
6:147:9yuraddᵘwill be turned back
6:147:11ʕanⁱfrom
6:147:12ₐlqawmⁱthe people
6:147:13ₐlmujrimīnᵃ(who are) criminals."
۝١٤٧
So if they deny you, [O Muhammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals."
6:148:1sayaqūlᵘWill say
6:148:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
6:148:3ʾašrakūassociate partners (with Allah),
6:148:5šāʾᵃHad willed
6:148:6ₐllahᵘAllah,
6:148:8ʾašraknāwe (would) have associated partners (with Allah)
6:148:10ʾābāʾunāour forefathers
6:148:11walāand not
6:148:12ḥarramnāwe (would) have forbidden
6:148:14šayʾⁱⁿanything."
6:148:15kaðālikᵃLikewise
6:148:16kaððabᵃdenied
6:148:17ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
6:148:18min(were from)
6:148:19qablihimbefore them
6:148:21ðāqūthey tasted
6:148:22baʾsanāOur wrath.
6:148:25ʕindakumwith you
6:148:27ʕilmⁱⁿany knowledge
6:148:28fatuḫrijūhᵘthen produce it
6:148:31tattabiʕūnᵃyou follow
6:148:33ₐlẓẓannᵃthe assumption,
6:148:35ʾantumyou (do)
6:148:37taḫruṣūnᵃguess."
۝١٤٨
Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying."
6:149:2falillahⁱ"With Allah
6:149:3ₐlḥujjaẗᵘ(is) the argument -
6:149:4ₐlbāliġaẗᵘthe conclusive.
6:149:6šāʾᵃHe (had) willed,
6:149:7lahadākumsurely He (would) have guided you
۝١٤٩
Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all."
6:150:2halummᵃ"Bring forward
6:150:3šuhadāʾakumᵘyour witnesses,
6:150:4ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
6:150:5yašhadūnᵃtestify
6:150:6ʾannᵃthat
6:150:7ₐllahᵃAllah
6:150:8ḥarramᵃprohibited
6:150:9hāðāthis."
6:150:10faʾinThen if
6:150:11šahidūthey testify
6:150:12falāthen (do) not
6:150:14maʕahumwith them.
6:150:15walāAnd (do) not
6:150:17ʾahwāʾᵃ(the) desires
6:150:18ₐllaðīnᵃ(of) those who
6:150:21waₐllaðīnᵃand those who
6:150:22(do) not
6:150:23yuʾminūnᵃbelieve
6:150:24biₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱin the Hereafter,
6:150:25wahumwhile they
6:150:26birabbihimwith their Lord
6:150:27yaʕdilūnᵃset up equals.
۝١٥٠
Say, [O Muhammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord.
