17:23:1waqaḍāAnd has decreed
17:23:2rabbukᵃyour Lord,
17:23:3ʾallāthat (do) not
17:23:6ʾiyyāhᵘHim Alone
17:23:7wabiₐlwālidaynⁱand to the parents
17:23:8ʾiḥsānaⁿ(be) good.

And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.
17:24:1waᵢḫfiḍAnd lower

۝٢٩
And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend it completely and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.
17:30:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
17:30:2rabbakᵃyour Lord
17:30:3yabsuṭᵘextends

17:33:19ₐlqatlⁱthe killing.
17:33:20ʾinnahuIndeed, he
17:33:22manṣūraⁿhelped.
۝٣٣
And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law].
17:34:1walāAnd (do) not

17:34:14ʾinnᵃIndeed,
17:34:15ₐlʕahdᵃthe covenant
17:34:16kānᵃwill be
17:34:17masʾūlaⁿquestioned.
۝٣٤
And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned.
17:35:1waʾawfūAnd give full
17:35:2ₐlkaylᵃ[the] measure
17:35:4kiltumyou measure,

۝٣٥
And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result.
17:36:1walāAnd (do) not

17:36:11waₐlfuʾādᵃand the heart
17:36:14kānᵃwill be
17:36:15ʕanhᵘ[about it]
17:36:16masʾūlaⁿquestioned.
۝٣٦
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
17:37:1walāAnd (do) not
17:37:4ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
17:37:5maraḥaⁿ(with) insolence.
17:37:6ʾinnakᵃIndeed, you
17:37:7lanwill never
17:37:9ₐlʾarḍᵃthe earth
17:37:10walanand will never
17:37:12ₐljibālᵃthe mountains
17:37:13ṭūlaⁿ(in) height.
۝٣٧
And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height.
17:38:2ðālikᵃthat
17:38:4sayyiʾuhu[its] evil
17:38:5ʕindᵃnear
17:38:6rabbikᵃyour Lord,
17:38:7makrūhaⁿhateful.
۝٣٨
All that - its evil is ever, in the sight of your Lord, detested.
17:39:1ðālikᵃThat
17:39:2mimmā(is) from what
17:39:3ʾawḥā(was) revealed
17:39:4ʾilaykᵃto you
17:39:5rabbukᵃ(from) your Lord

17:39:14fatulqālest you should be thrown
17:39:17malūmaⁿblameworthy,
17:39:18mmadḥūraⁿabandoned.
۝٣٩
That is from what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished.
17:40:1ʾafaʾaṣfākumThen has your Lord chosen (for) you
17:40:4waᵢttaḫaðᵃand He has taken
17:40:5minᵃfrom
17:40:6ₐlmalāʾikaẗⁱthe Angels
17:40:7ʾināθaⁿdaughters?
17:40:8ʾinnakumIndeed, you
17:40:9lataqūlūnᵃsurely say
17:40:11ʕaẓīmaⁿgrave.
۝٤٠
Then, has your Lord chosen you for [having] sons and taken from among the angels daughters? Indeed, you say a grave saying.
17:41:1walaqadAnd verily,
17:41:2ṣarrafnāWe have explained
17:41:5ₐlqurʾānⁱthe Quran,
17:41:6liyaððakkarūthat they may take heed,
17:41:7wamābut not
17:41:8yazīduhumit increases them
17:41:9ʾillāexcept
17:41:10nufūraⁿ(in) aversion.
۝٤١
And We have certainly diversified [the contents] in this Qur'an that mankind may be reminded, but it does not increase the disbelievers except in aversion.
17:42:3kānᵃ(there) were
17:42:5ʾālihaẗᵘⁿgods

۝٤٢
Say, [O Muhammad], "If there had been with Him [other] gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought to the Owner of the Throne a way."
17:43:1subḥānahuGlorified is He
17:43:2wataʕālāand Exalted is He

17:44:2lahᵘ[to] Him
17:44:3ₐlssamāwātᵘthe seven heavens
17:44:5waₐlʾarḍᵘand the earth
17:44:6wamanand whatever
17:44:7fīhinnᵃ(is) in them.
17:44:8waʾinAnd (there is) not
17:44:10šayʾⁱⁿthing

17:44:18ʾinnahuIndeed, He
17:44:20ḥalīmaⁿEver-Forbearing,
17:44:21ġafūraⁿOft-Forgiving."
۝٤٤
The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving.
17:45:1waʾiðāAnd when
17:45:2qaraʾtᵃyou recite
17:45:3ₐlqurʾānᵃthe Quran,
17:45:4jaʕalnāWe place
17:45:5baynakᵃbetween you
17:45:6wabaynᵃand between
17:45:7ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
17:45:8(do) not

17:45:11ḥijābaⁿa barrier
۝٤٥
And when you recite the Qur'an, We put between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a concealed partition.
17:46:1wajaʕalnāAnd We have placed
17:46:3qulūbihimtheir hearts
17:46:4ʾakinnaẗᵃⁿcoverings,
17:46:6yafqahūhᵘthey understand it,
17:46:8ʾāðānihimtheir ears
17:46:9waqraⁿdeafness.
17:46:10waʾiðāAnd when
17:46:11ðakartᵃyou mention
17:46:12rabbakᵃyour Lord
17:46:14ₐlqurʾānⁱthe Quran
17:46:18ʾadbārihimtheir backs
17:46:19nufūraⁿ(in) aversion.
۝٤٦
And We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn back in aversion.
17:47:2ʾaʕlamᵘknow best
17:47:3bimā[of] what

۝٤٧
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
17:48:3ḍarabūthey put forth
17:48:4lakᵃfor you

۝٤٨
Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.
17:49:1waqālūAnd they say,
17:49:2ʾaʾiðā"Is it when
17:49:4ʕiẓāmaⁿbones

17:49:6ʾaʾinnāwill we

17:49:8ḫalqaⁿ(as) a creation
۝٤٩
And they say, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected as a new creation?"
