۞
26:181:2ₐlkaylᵃmeasure
26:181:3walāand (do) not
26:181:6ₐlmuḫsirīnᵃthose who cause loss.
۝١٨١
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
26:182:2biₐlqisṭāsⁱwith a balance,
26:182:3ₐlmustaqīmⁱ[the] even.
۝١٨٢
And weigh with an even balance.
26:183:1walāAnd (do) not
26:183:3ₐlnnāsᵃpeople
26:183:4ʾašyāʾahum(of) their things,
26:183:5walāand (do) not
26:183:6taʕθawcommit evil
26:183:8ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth,
26:183:9mufsidīnᵃspreading corruption.
۝١٨٣
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.
26:184:2ₐllaðīthe One Who
26:184:3ḫalaqakumcreated you
26:184:4waₐljibillaẗᵃand the generations
26:184:5ₐlʾawwalīnᵃthe former."
۝١٨٤
And fear He who created you and the former creation."
26:185:4minᵃ(are) of
26:185:5ₐlmusaḥḥarīnᵃthose bewitched.
۝١٨٥
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
26:186:3ʾillā(are) except
26:186:4bašarᵘⁿa man
26:186:6waʾinand indeed,
26:186:7nnaẓunnukᵃwe think you
26:186:8laminᵃsurely (are) of
26:186:9ₐlkāðibīnᵃthe liars.
۝١٨٦
You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.
26:187:1faʾasqiṭThen cause to fall
26:187:3kisafaⁿfragments
26:187:5ₐlssamāʾⁱthe sky,
26:187:7kuntᵃyou are
26:187:9ₐlṣṣādiqīnᵃthe truthful."
۝١٨٧
So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."
26:188:1qālᵃHe said,
26:188:3ʾaʕlamᵘknows best
26:188:4bimāof what
26:188:5taʕmalūnᵃyou do."
۝١٨٨
He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."
26:189:1fakaððabūhᵘBut they denied him,
26:189:2faʾaḫaðahumso seized them
26:189:3ʕaðābᵘ(the) punishment
26:189:4yawmⁱ(of the) day
26:189:5ₐlẓẓullaẗⁱ(of) the shadow.
26:189:6ʾinnahuIndeed, it
26:189:8ʕaðābᵃ(the) punishment
26:189:9yawmⁱⁿ(of) a Day
26:189:10ʕaẓīmⁱⁿGreat.
۝١٨٩
And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.
26:190:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
26:190:4laʾāyaẗᵃⁿsurely, is a sign
26:190:5wamābut not
26:190:7ʾakθaruhummost of them
26:190:8mmuʾminīnᵃbelievers.
۝١٩٠
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
26:191:1waʾinnᵃAnd indeed,
26:191:2rabbakᵃyour Lord
26:191:3lahuwᵃsurely, He
26:191:4ₐlʕazīzᵘ(is) the All-Mighty,
26:191:5ₐlrraḥīmᵘthe Most Merciful.
۝١٩١
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
26:192:1waʾinnahuAnd indeed, it
26:192:2latanzīlᵘsurely, is a Revelation
26:192:3rabbⁱ(of the) Lord
26:192:4ₐlʕālamīnᵃ(of) the worlds.
۝١٩٢
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
26:193:1nazalᵃHas brought it down,
26:193:3ₐlrrūḥᵘthe Spirit
26:193:4ₐlʾamīnᵘ[the] Trustworthy,
۝١٩٣
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down
26:194:2qalbikᵃyour heart,
26:194:3litakūnᵃthat you may be
26:194:5ₐlmunðirīnᵃthe warners
۝١٩٤
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -
26:195:1bilisānⁱⁿIn language
26:195:2ʕarabīīⁱⁿArabic
26:195:3mmubīnⁱⁿclear.
۝١٩٥
In a clear Arabic language.
26:196:1waʾinnahuAnd indeed, it
26:196:2lafīsurely, (is) in
26:196:3zuburⁱ(the) Scriptures
26:196:4ₐlʾawwalīnᵃ(of) the former (people).
۝١٩٦
And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.
26:197:1ʾawalamIs it not
26:197:4ʾāyaẗᵃⁿa sign
26:197:7ʕulamāʾu(the) scholars
26:197:8banī(of the) Children
26:197:9ʾisrāʾīlᵃ(of) Israel?
۝١٩٧
And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?
26:198:2nazzalnāhᵘWe (had) revealed it
26:198:5ₐlʾaʕjamīnᵃ(of) the non-Arabs
۝١٩٨
And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners
26:199:1faqaraʾahuAnd he (had) recited it
26:199:4kānūthey would
26:199:6muʾminīnᵃ(be) believers.
۝١٩٩
And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.
26:200:2salaknāhᵘWe have inserted it
26:200:4qulūbⁱ(the) hearts
26:200:5ₐlmujrimīnᵃ(of) the criminals.
۝٢٠٠
Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.
26:201:2yuʾminūnᵃthey will believe
26:201:6ₐlʕaðābᵃthe punishment
26:201:7ₐlʾalīmᵃ[the] painful.
۝٢٠١
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
26:202:1fayaʾtiyahumAnd it will come to them
26:202:2baġtaẗᵃⁿsuddenly,
26:202:3wahumwhile they
26:202:4(do) not
26:202:5yašʕurūnᵃperceive.
۝٢٠٢
And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.
26:203:1fayaqūlūThen they will say,
26:203:4munẓarūnᵃ(to be) reprieved?"
۝٢٠٣
And they will say, "May we be reprieved?"
26:204:1ʾafabiʕaðābināSo is it for Our punishment
26:204:2yastaʕjilūnᵃthey wish to hasten?
۝٢٠٤
So for Our punishment are they impatient?
26:205:1ʾafaraʾaytᵃThen have you seen
26:205:3mmattaʕnāhumWe let them enjoy
26:205:4sinīnᵃ(for) years
۝٢٠٥
Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years
26:206:1θummᵃThen
26:206:2jāʾahumcomes to them
26:206:5yūʕadūnᵃpromised
۝٢٠٦
And then there came to them that which they were promised?
26:207:2ʾaġnā(will) avail
26:207:5kānūenjoyment they were given?
۝٢٠٧
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.
26:208:2ʾahlaknāWe destroyed
26:208:4qaryaẗⁱⁿtown
26:208:7munðirūnᵃwarners
۝٢٠٨
And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners
26:209:1ðikrā(To) remind,
26:209:2wamāand not
26:209:4ẓālimīnᵃunjust.
۝٢٠٩
As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.
26:210:1wamāAnd not
26:210:2tanazzalathave brought it down
26:210:4ₐlššayāṭīnᵘthe devils.
۝٢١٠
And the devils have not brought the revelation down.
26:211:1wamāAnd not
26:211:2yanᵐbaġī(it) suits
26:211:3lahum[for] them
26:211:4wamāand not
26:211:5yastaṭīʕūnᵃthey are able.
۝٢١١
It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.
26:212:1ʾinnahumIndeed, they
26:212:2ʕanⁱfrom
26:212:3ₐlssamʕⁱthe hearing
26:212:4lamaʕzūlūnᵃ(are) surely banished.
۝٢١٢
Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.
26:213:1falāSo (do) not
26:213:2tadʕᵘinvoke
26:213:3maʕᵃwith
26:213:4ₐllahⁱAllah,
26:213:6ʾāḫarᵃanother
26:213:7fatakūnᵃlest you be
26:213:9ₐlmuʕaððabīnᵃthose punished.
۝٢١٣
So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.
26:214:1waʾanðirAnd warn
26:214:2ʕašīratakᵃyour kindred
26:214:3ₐlʾaqrabīnᵃ[the] closest.
۝٢١٤
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.
26:215:1waᵢḫfiḍAnd lower
26:215:2janāḥakᵃyour wing
26:215:3limanⁱto (those) who
26:215:4ᵢttabaʕakᵃfollow you
26:215:6ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers.
۝٢١٥
And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.
26:216:2ʕaṣawkᵃthey disobey you
26:216:3faqulthen say,
26:216:4ʾinnī"Indeed, I am
26:216:5barīʾᵘⁿinnocent
26:216:7taʕmalūnᵃyou do."
۝٢١٦
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."
26:217:1watawakkalAnd put (your) trust
26:217:3ₐlʕazīzⁱthe All-Mighty,
26:217:4ₐlrraḥīmⁱthe Most Merciful,
۝٢١٧
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
26:218:1ₐllaðīThe One Who
26:218:2yarākᵃsees you
26:218:3ḥīnᵃwhen
26:218:4taqūmᵘyou stand up
۝٢١٨
Who sees you when you arise
26:219:1wataqallubakᵃAnd your movements
26:219:3ₐlssājidīnᵃthose who prostrate.
۝٢١٩
And your movement among those who prostrate.
26:220:1ʾinnahuIndeed, He
26:220:3ₐlssamīʕᵘ(is) the All-Hearer,
26:220:4ₐlʕalīmᵘthe All-Knower.
۝٢٢٠
Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
26:221:2ʾunabbiʾukumI inform you
26:221:5tanazzalᵘdescend
26:221:6ₐlššayāṭīnᵘthe devils?
۝٢٢١
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?
26:222:1tanazzalᵘThey descend
26:222:3kullⁱevery
26:222:4ʾaffākⁱⁿliar
26:222:5ʾaθīmⁱⁿsinful.
۝٢٢٢
They descend upon every sinful liar.
26:223:1yulqūnᵃThey pass on
26:223:2ₐlssamʕᵃ(what is) heard,
26:223:3waʾakθaruhumand most of them
26:223:4kāðibūnᵃ(are) liars.
۝٢٢٣
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.
26:224:1waₐlššuʕarāʾᵘAnd the poets -
26:224:2yattabiʕuhumᵘfollow them
26:224:3ₐlġāwunᵃthe deviators.
۝٢٢٤
And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;
26:225:2tarᵃyou see
26:225:3ʾannahumthat they
26:225:5kullⁱevery
26:225:6wādⁱⁿvalley
26:225:7yahīmūnᵃ[they] roam,
۝٢٢٥
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
26:226:1waʾannahumAnd that they
26:226:5yafʕalūnᵃthey do?
۝٢٢٦
And that they say what they do not do? -
26:227:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
26:227:5ₐlṣṣāliḥātⁱrighteous deeds
26:227:6waðakarūand remember
26:227:7ₐllahᵃAllah
26:227:8kaθīraⁿmuch,
26:227:9waᵢntaṣarūand defend themselves
26:227:13ẓulimūthey were wronged.
26:227:14wasayaʕlamᵘAnd will come to know
26:227:15ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
26:227:16ẓalamūhave wronged
26:227:17ʾayyᵃ(to) what
26:227:18munqalabⁱⁿreturn
26:227:19yanqalibūnᵃthey will return.
۝٢٢٧
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
