۞
31:22:1wamanAnd whoever
31:22:5ₐllahⁱAllah
31:22:6wahuwᵃwhile he
31:22:7muḥsinᵘⁿ(is) a good-doer,
31:22:8faqadⁱthen indeed,
31:22:9ᵢstamsakᵃhe has grasped
31:22:10biₐlʕurwaẗⁱthe handhold
31:22:11ₐlwuθqāthe most trustworthy.
31:22:13ₐllahⁱAllah
31:22:14ʕāqibaẗᵘ(is the) end
31:22:15ₐlʾumūrⁱ(of) the matters.
۝٢٢
And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters.
31:23:1wamanAnd whoever
31:23:2kafarᵃdisbelieves,
31:23:3falālet not
31:23:4yaḥzunkᵃgrieve you
31:23:5kufruhuhis disbelief.
31:23:7marjiʕuhum(is) their return,
31:23:8fanunabbiʾuhumthen We will inform them
31:23:9bimāof what
31:23:11ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:23:12ₐllahᵃAllah
31:23:13ʕalīmᵘⁿᵐ(is) the All-Knower
31:23:14biðātⁱof what
31:23:15ₐlṣṣudūrⁱ(is in) the breasts.
۝٢٣
And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
31:24:1numattiʕuhumWe grant them enjoyment
31:24:2qalīlaⁿ(for) a little,
31:24:3θummᵃthen
31:24:4naḍṭarruhumWe will force them
31:24:6ʕaðābⁱⁿa punishment
31:24:7ġalīẓⁱⁿsevere.
۝٢٤
We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment.
31:25:1walaʾinAnd if
31:25:2saʾaltahumyou ask them,
31:25:4ḫalaqᵃcreated
31:25:5ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
31:25:6waₐlʾarḍᵃand the earth?"
31:25:7layaqūlunnᵃThey will surely say,
31:25:8ₐllahᵘ"Allah."
31:25:9qulⁱSay,
31:25:10ₐlḥamdᵘ"All praises
31:25:11lillahⁱ(are) for Allah."
31:25:13ʾakθaruhummost of them
31:25:14(do) not
۝٢٥
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know.
31:26:1lillahⁱTo Allah (belongs)
31:26:2whatever
31:26:3(is) in
31:26:4ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
31:26:5waₐlʾarḍⁱand the earth.
31:26:6ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:26:7ₐllahᵃAllah,
31:26:9ₐlġanīīᵘ(is) Free of need,
31:26:10ₐlḥamīdᵘthe Praiseworthy.
۝٢٦
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
31:27:2ʾannamāwhatever
31:27:3(is) in
31:27:4ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
31:27:6šajaraẗⁱⁿ(the) trees
31:27:7ʾaqlāmᵘⁿ(were) pens
31:27:8waₐlbaḥrᵘand the sea,
31:27:9yamudduhu(to) add to it
31:27:10minᵐafter it
31:27:12sabʕaẗᵘseven
31:27:13ʾabḥurⁱⁿseas,
31:27:15nafidatwould be exhausted
31:27:16kalimātᵘ(the) Words
31:27:17ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah.
31:27:18ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:27:19ₐllahᵃAllah
31:27:20ʕazīzᵘⁿ(is) All-Mighty,
31:27:21ḥakīmᵘⁿAll-Wise.
۝٢٧
And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
31:28:2ḫalqukum(is) your creation
31:28:3walāand not
31:28:4baʕθukumyour resurrection
31:28:6kanafsⁱⁿas a soul
31:28:7wāḥidaẗⁱⁿsingle.
31:28:8ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:28:9ₐllahᵃAllah
31:28:10samīʕᵘⁿᵐ(is) All-Hearer,
31:28:11baṣīrᵘⁿAll-Seer.
۝٢٨
Your creation and your resurrection will not be but as that of a single soul. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.
31:29:2tarᵃyou see
31:29:3ʾannᵃthat
31:29:4ₐllahᵃAllah
31:29:5yūlijᵘcauses to enter
31:29:6ₐllaylᵃthe night
31:29:8ₐlnnahārⁱthe day,
31:29:9wayūlijᵘand causes to enter
31:29:10ₐlnnahārᵃthe day
31:29:12ₐllaylⁱthe night
31:29:13wasaḫḫarᵃand has subjected
31:29:14ₐlššamsᵃthe sun
31:29:15waₐlqamarᵃand the moon,
31:29:16kullᵘⁿeach
31:29:19ʾajalⁱⁿa term
31:29:20mmusammaⁿappointed,
31:29:21waʾannᵃand that
31:29:22ₐllahᵃAllah
31:29:23bimāof what
31:29:25ḫabīrᵘⁿ(is) All-Aware.
۝٢٩
Do you not see that Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term, and that Allah, with whatever you do, is Acquainted?
31:30:1ðālikᵃThat
31:30:2biʾannᵃ(is) because
31:30:3ₐllahᵃAllah,
31:30:5ₐlḥaqqᵘ(is) the Truth,
31:30:6waʾannᵃand that
31:30:8yadʕūnᵃthey call
31:30:9minbesides Him
31:30:11ₐlbāṭilᵘ(is) [the] falsehood,
31:30:12waʾannᵃand that
31:30:13ₐllahᵃAllah,
31:30:15ₐlʕalīīᵘ(is) the Most High,
31:30:16ₐlkabīrᵘthe Most Great.
۝٣٠
That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand.
31:31:2tarᵃyou see
31:31:3ʾannᵃthat
31:31:4ₐlfulkᵃthe ships
31:31:6through
31:31:7ₐlbaḥrⁱthe sea
31:31:8biniʕmatⁱby (the) Grace
31:31:9ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
31:31:10liyuriyakumthat He may show you
31:31:13ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:31:16laʾāyātⁱⁿsurely (are) Signs
31:31:17llikullⁱfor everyone
31:31:18ṣabbārⁱⁿ(who is) patient,
31:31:19šakūrⁱⁿgrateful.
۝٣١
Do you not see that ships sail through the sea by the favor of Allah that He may show you of His signs? Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
31:32:1waʾiðāAnd when
31:32:2ġašiyahumcovers them
31:32:3mmawjᵘⁿa wave
31:32:4kaₐlẓẓulalⁱlike canopies,
31:32:5daʕawuthey call
31:32:6ₐllahᵃAllah,
31:32:7muḫliṣīnᵃ(being) sincere
31:32:8lahᵘto Him
31:32:9ₐlddīnᵃ(in) religion.
31:32:10falammāBut when
31:32:11najjāhumHe delivers them
31:32:13ₐlbarrⁱthe land
31:32:14faminhumthen among them
31:32:15mmuqtaṣidᵘⁿ(some are) moderate.
31:32:16wamāAnd not
31:32:20kullᵘevery
31:32:21ḫattārⁱⁿtraitor
31:32:22kafūrⁱⁿungrateful.
۝٣٢
And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
31:33:2ₐlnnāsᵘmankind!
31:33:4rabbakumyour Lord
31:33:5waᵢḫšawand fear
31:33:8yajzīcan avail
31:33:9wālidᵘⁿa father
31:33:12walāand not
31:33:13mawlūdᵘⁿa son,
31:33:15jāzⁱⁿ(can) avail
31:33:17wālidihihis father
31:33:18šayʾaⁿanything.
31:33:19ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:33:20waʕdᵃ(the) Promise
31:33:21ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
31:33:22ḥaqqᵘⁿ(is) True,
31:33:23falāso let not deceive you
31:33:25ₐlḥayawẗᵘthe life
31:33:26ₐlddunyā(of) the world
31:33:27walāand let not deceive you
31:33:29biₐllahⁱabout Allah
31:33:30ₐlġarūrᵘthe deceiver.
۝٣٣
O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
31:34:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:34:2ₐllahᵃAllah,
31:34:3ʕindahuwith Him
31:34:4ʕilmᵘ(is the) knowledge
31:34:5ₐlssāʕaẗⁱ(of) the Hour
31:34:6wayunazzilᵘand He sends down
31:34:7ₐlġayθᵃthe rain,
31:34:8wayaʕlamᵘand knows
31:34:10(is) in
31:34:11ₐlʾarḥāmⁱthe wombs.
31:34:12wamāAnd not
31:34:14nafsᵘⁿany soul
31:34:16taksibᵘit will earn
31:34:17ġadaⁿtomorrow,
31:34:18wamāand not
31:34:20nafsᵘⁿᵐany soul
31:34:21biʾayyⁱin what
31:34:22ʾarḍⁱⁿland
31:34:23tamūtᵘit will die.
31:34:24ʾinnᵃIndeed,
31:34:25ₐllahᵃAllah
31:34:26ʕalīmᵘⁿ(is) All-Knower
31:34:27ḫabīrᵘⁿᵐAll-Aware.
۝٣٤
Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

The Prostration
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
32:1:1ʾalif lām mīmAlif Lam Meem.
۝١
Alif, Lam, Meem.
32:2:1tanzīlᵘ(The) revelation
32:2:2ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book,
32:2:3(there is) no
32:2:4raybᵃdoubt
32:2:5fīhⁱabout it,
32:2:7rrabbⁱ(the) Lord
32:2:8ₐlʕālamīnᵃ(of) the worlds.
۝٢
[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.
32:3:2yaqūlūnᵃ(do) they say,
32:3:3ᵢftarāhᵘ"He invented it?"
32:3:6ₐlḥaqqᵘ(is) the truth
32:3:8rrabbikᵃyour Lord
32:3:9litunðirᵃthat you may warn
32:3:10qawmaⁿa people
32:3:12ʾatāhumhas come to them
32:3:14nnaðīrⁱⁿwarner
32:3:15mminbefore you
32:3:17laʕallahumso that they may
32:3:18yahtadūnᵃbe guided.
۝٣
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.
32:4:1ₐllahᵘAllah
32:4:2ₐllaðī(is) the One Who
32:4:3ḫalaqᵃcreated
32:4:4ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
32:4:5waₐlʾarḍᵃand the earth
32:4:6wamāand whatever
32:4:7baynahumā(is) between them
32:4:9sittaẗⁱsix
32:4:10ʾayyāmⁱⁿperiods.
32:4:11θummᵃThen
32:4:12ᵢstawāestablished Himself
32:4:14ₐlʕaršⁱthe Throne.
32:4:16lakumfor you
32:4:17mminbesides Him
32:4:20walīīⁱⁿprotector
32:4:21walāand not
32:4:22šafīʕⁱⁿany intercessor.
32:4:23ʾafalāThen will not
32:4:24tataðakkarūnᵃyou take heed?
۝٤
It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?
32:5:1yudabbirᵘHe regulates
32:5:2ₐlʾamrᵃthe affair
32:5:4ₐlssamāʾⁱthe heaven
32:5:6ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth;
32:5:7θummᵃthen
32:5:8yaʕrujᵘit will ascend
32:5:9ʾilayhⁱto Him
32:5:11yawmⁱⁿa Day,
32:5:12kānᵃ(the) measure of which is
32:5:14ʾalfᵃa thousand
32:5:15sanaẗⁱⁿyears
32:5:16mmimmāof what
32:5:17taʕuddūnᵃyou count.
۝٥
He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.
32:6:1ðālikᵃThat
32:6:2ʕālimᵘ(is the) Knower
32:6:3ₐlġaybⁱ(of) the hidden
32:6:4waₐlššahādaẗⁱand the witnessed,
32:6:5ₐlʕazīzᵘthe All-Mighty,
32:6:6ₐlrraḥīmᵘthe Most Merciful,
۝٦
That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
32:7:1ₐllaðīThe One Who
32:7:2ʾaḥsanᵃmade good
32:7:3kullᵃevery
32:7:4šayʾⁱⁿthing
32:7:5ḫalaqahuHe created,
32:7:6wabadaʾᵃand He began
32:7:7ḫalqᵃ(the) creation
32:7:8ₐlʾinsānⁱ(of) man
32:7:10ṭīnⁱⁿclay.
۝٧
Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.
32:8:1θummᵃThen
32:8:2jaʕalᵃHe made
32:8:3naslahuhis progeny
32:8:5sulālaẗⁱⁿan extract
32:8:7mmāʾⁱⁿwater
32:8:8mmahīnⁱⁿdespised.
۝٨
Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.
32:9:1θummᵃThen
32:9:2sawwāhᵘHe fashioned him
32:9:3wanafaḫᵃand breathed
32:9:4fīhⁱinto him
32:9:6rrūḥihiHis spirit
32:9:7wajaʕalᵃand made
32:9:8lakumᵘfor you
32:9:9ₐlssamʕᵃthe hearing
32:9:10waₐlʾabṣārᵃand the sight
32:9:11waₐlʾafʾidaẗᵃand feelings;
32:9:12qalīlaⁿlittle
32:9:13mmā[what]
32:9:14taškurūnᵃthanks you give.
۝٩
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
32:10:1waqālūAnd they say,
32:10:2ʾaʾiðā"Is (it) when
32:10:3ḍalalnāwe are lost
32:10:5ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth,
32:10:6ʾaʾinnāwill we
32:10:7lafīcertainly be in
32:10:8ḫalqⁱⁿa creation
32:10:9jadīdⁱⁿnew?"
32:10:12biliqāʾⁱin (the) meeting
32:10:13rabbihim(of) their Lord
32:10:14kāfirūnᵃ(are) disbelievers.
۝١٠
And they say, "When we are lost within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers.
