42:51:5yukallimahᵘAllah should speak to him

42:51:17biʾiðnihiby His permission
42:51:19yašāʾᵘHe wills.
42:51:20ʾinnahuIndeed, He
42:51:21ʕalīīᵘⁿ(is) Most High,
42:51:22ḥakīmᵘⁿMost Wise.
۝٥١
And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.
42:52:1wakaðālikᵃAnd thus
42:52:2ʾawḥaynāWe have revealed

And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -

۝٣
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.
43:4:1waʾinnahuAnd indeed, it

۝٧
But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.

43:14:3rabbināour Lord,
43:14:4lamunqalibūnᵃwill surely return."
۝١٤
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return."
43:15:1wajaʕalūBut they attribute
43:15:4ʕibādihiHis slaves
43:15:5juzʾaⁿa portion.
43:15:6ʾinnᵃIndeed,
43:15:8lakafūrᵘⁿsurely (is) clearly ungrateful.
۝١٥
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful.
43:16:2ᵢttaḫaðᵃhas He taken
43:16:3mimmāof what,
43:16:4yaḫluqᵘHe has created,
43:16:5banātⁱⁿdaughters
43:16:6waʾaṣfākumand He has chosen (for) you
۝١٦
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons?
43:17:1waʾiðāAnd when
43:17:2bušširᵃis given good news,
43:17:3ʾaḥaduhum(to) one of them,
43:17:4bimāof what
43:17:5ḍarabᵃhe sets up
43:17:6lilrraḥmānⁱfor the Most Gracious
43:17:7maθalaⁿ(as) a likeness,
43:17:8ẓallᵃbecomes

43:17:12kaẓīmᵘⁿ(is) filled with grief.
۝١٧
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
43:18:1ʾawamanThen (is one) who
43:18:2yunaššaʾuis brought up
43:18:4ₐlḥilyaẗⁱornaments

43:18:7ₐlḫiṣāmⁱthe dispute
43:18:8ġayrᵘ(is) not

۝١٨
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?
43:19:1wajaʕalūAnd they made,
43:19:2ₐlmalāʾikaẗᵃthe Angels,
43:19:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
43:19:4humthemselves
43:19:5ʕibādᵘ(are) slaves
43:19:6ₐlrraḥmānⁱ(of) the Most Gracious,

43:19:8ʾašahidūDid they witness
43:19:9ḫalqahumtheir creation?
43:19:10satuktabᵘWill be recorded
43:19:11šahādatuhumtheir testimony,
43:19:12wayusʾalūnᵃand they will be questioned.
۝١٩
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
43:20:1waqālūAnd they say,
43:20:3šāʾᵃhad willed
43:20:4ₐlrraḥmānᵘthe Most Gracious,
43:20:5we would not have worshipped them."
43:20:8lahumthey have
43:20:9biðālikᵃabout that
43:20:11ʕilmⁱⁿknowledge.
43:20:12ʾinNothing
43:20:13humthey (do)
43:20:15yaḫruṣūnᵃlie.
۝٢٠
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but falsifying.
43:21:2ʾātaynāhumhave We given them
43:21:3kitābaⁿa book
43:21:4mminbefore it,
43:21:6fahumso they
43:21:8mustamsikūnᵃ(are) holding fast?
۝٢١
Or have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?
43:22:3ʾinnā"Indeed, we
43:22:4wajadnā[we] found
43:22:5ʾābāʾanāour forefathers
43:22:7ʾummaẗⁱⁿa religion
43:22:8waʾinnāand indeed, we
43:22:10ʾāθārihimtheir footsteps
43:22:11mmuhtadūnᵃ(are) guided."
۝٢٢
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
43:23:1wakaðālikᵃAnd thus
43:23:4minbefore you
43:23:7qaryaẗⁱⁿa town
43:23:9nnaðīrⁱⁿwarner
43:23:12mutrafūhā(the) wealthy ones of it,
43:23:13ʾinnā"Indeed, we
43:23:15ʾābāʾanāour forefathers
43:23:17ʾummaẗⁱⁿa religion,
43:23:18waʾinnāand indeed, we
43:23:20ʾāθārihimtheir footsteps
43:23:21mmuqtadūnᵃ(are) following."
۝٢٣
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
